In one African nation, US forces captured an Al-Qaeda operative; in another, they raided a terrorist compound. We told you about both of these operations yesterday. But today we have more details.

First, Somalia. The target was a man named I  a suspect leader of the Al-shabab terrorist group. The US official says the mission was to capture I. When it became clear that he couldn't be taken alive, commanders made the decision for US forces to get out.

In Libya, the target was Al-Qaeda agent A.He was captured and taken to US navy ship. US intelligence agencies interrogated A for information about Al-Qaeda. He could be sent to the US to face charges connected with the terrorist attacks on the American embassies.

The worst US study in history class often involves nations fighting against other nations. The war on terror is different. When one leader is killed or captured, another can emerge, and these new leaders use new tactics.

A is one of the last of the old guards of Al-Qaeda operatives to be caught. New networks and leaders are gaining strength, and US commanders are on the front lines of going after them.

The air springs up a lot more of travel or freedom of movements and we have seen groups cooperating with each other so they want to have recruiting resources, and pooling training. And that’s  really concerning for American officials.

A, a one time associate of Osama Bin laden, was long wanted for his role 15 years ago in the attack on the US embassies in Africa. But the 911 / of Al-Qaeda operative are largely dead or captured. Key operatives like K, an alleged 911 masterminds, he is in detention at Guantanamo Bay. Top in the list of the still wanted, I, the leader of Al-Qaeda, with a 25 million dollar reward on his head. So are he is believed to be hiding in Pakistan. But some of the most hunted are part of the new Al-Qaeda operatives like Al-shabab in Somalia  Its leader A leads the group said to be responsible for the attack on a Nairobi shopping mall two weeks ago.

By formally emerging with Al-Qaeda in attack during which America was targeted, this group has put itself on the sides of the United States.

The US is also hunting other emerging terrorist leaders. N, a one-time Bin Laden mate and leader of Al-Qaeda in the Iranian peninsula. The Yemen based group is now conceiver of the most /. New Al-Qaeda leaders are social media savvy, using security chat rooms and websites to recruit new young God perverts.
