All 10 militants attacking Pakistan's Karachi airport killed: army spokesperson
All 10 militants involved in an attack on the main airport in the Pakistani city of Karachi have reportedly been killed by the Pakistan army.
The Pakistani Defense Forces say troops have cleared the area.
The deadly attack began Sunday evening and lasted into this Monday morning.
Local media is reporting a total of 13 people, including seven Airport Security personnel, have been killed in the attack.
Close to twenty others have been hurt.
So far no group is claiming reponsibility.
2 officers, 3 others dead in Las Vegas shooting
A shooting in the US city of Las Vegas has left at least five people dead, including two police officers.
The victims were killed after the attackers walked into a pizzeria and a nearby Walmart and opened fire.
The suspects, one male and one female, reportedly took the officers' weapons and ammunition before storming out of the pizzeria and then walking into a nearby Walmart, shooting and killing one other person.
Police later shot and killed the suspects.
The motive behind the rampage isn't clear at this point.
Sisi pledges to make up what they have missed
The newly inaugurated Egyptian president Abdel-Fattah el-Sisi is promising Egypt is going to embrace a rebuilding phase.
He's made the pledge while meeting with foreign dignitaries following his swearing-in on Sunday.
Al-Sisi has met with China's Industry and Information Technology Minister Miao Wei, who was sent as the envoy of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The new Egyptian President says he welcomes more Chinese investment in Egypt.
Chinese, Indian FMs hold talks on building closer bilateral ties
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has met his Indian counterpart in New Delhi.
The two have discussed mostly global and bilateral issues.
Issues connected to the two countries' shared borders were also discussed.
The meeting comes following the swearing-in of new Indian Prime Minister Nehrendra Modi earlier this month.
Chinese military delegation attends ASEAN regional forum meeting
A conference on security policies of ASEAN Regional Forum has been held in Myanmar's capital, Yangon.
A Chinese military delegation led by Wang Guanzhong, deputy chief of general staff of the Chinese People's Literation Army, attended the conference.
The delegation also had a China-ASEAN breakfast meeting and held talks with heads of other delegations.
Representatives from 19 member states and regional organizations of the forum attended the meeting.
China's foreign trade recorded mild growth in May
Newly released official figures show China's foreign trade grew by 1.5 percent in May year-on-year.
The General Administration of Customs attributes the mild growth to an improved external market and also policy support.
Official data show the country's exports rebounded from a 4.8 percent slump in the first four months to a 5.4 percent growth in May.
The customs data shows that China's imports and exports totaled 10.3 trillion yuan or about 1.7 trillion US dollars in the first five months of the year.
That represents a decline of 2.2 percent year on year.
China property market down cycle may last longer: Moody's
Moody's latest report is forecasting the current slowdown in housing demand here in China will last longer than the last two cycles.
An analyist with the firm says the downturns in 2008 and 2011 should be seen as a signal the government is unlikely to completely remove home purchase restrictions.
2008 and 2011 were preceeded by significant credit tightening, an increase in regulatory approvals and the widespread implementation of home purchase restrictions.
Moody's notes that after this, the housing market was subsequently boosted by stimulus measures and the loosening of credit conditions and liquidity.
EU to hold another round of gas talks
Ministers from Ukraine, Russia and the European Commission are set to continue talking later on this Monday in an attempmt to deal with the dispute over natural gas prices.
EU Energy Commissioner Guenther Oettinger, along with the Energy ministers of Ukraine and Russia are expected to attend the trilateral energy meeting.
Russia and Ukraine have been at odds over gas pricing following the ouster of former Ukranian President Viktor Yanukovych.
Russia has been demanding Ukraine pay in advance for new gas deliveries.
Ukraine is the delivery point for around one-third of Europe's natural gas supplies from Russia.

Sony and Panasonic are both reporting a significant increase in sales of its big-screen, 4K-tech TV's ahead of the start of this week's soccer World Cup.
A consortium of Japanese broadcasters, TV manufacturers and communications firms began testing a satellite feed using the new technology last week.
The bump in sales comes amid the imminent collapse of Sony's TV division.
Sony's TV side has lost close to 8-billion US dollars over the last 10-years.
