Authorities say the pilot was flying a plane to New Orleans from maintenance when he reported an in-flight emergency and lost radio contact. 2. US officials are looking into reports that a 2nd Islamic American militant was killed in Syria. Officials have confirmed the death of Douglas McArthur McCain who was fighting alongside the group calling himself Islamic State.
3. The FBI says it’s investigating reports that several US financial institutions were hacked and massive amounts of data were stolen.
4. And a 3rd day of huge waves is expected in southern California on Thursday. It’s the result of the hurricane Marie, of Mexico’s Pacific coast. Calmer seas could return on Friday.
