It’s official – Woody and Buzz Lightyear are on their way back to cinemas after Disney confirmed that Toy Story 4 is in the works.

　　The studio revealed that the fourth instalment of the animated franchise will be released in June 2017 – and that John Lasseter, who made the first two movies, will be returning to direct.

　　工作室发布声明，这个动画系列的第四部会在2017年六月上映——而且制作了前两部电影的约翰·雷斯特，会回归指导这部电影。

　　‘John created Toy Story and directed the first two films, and it’s great to have him back directing one of our most valuable properties,’ Disney CEO Bob Iger said.“

　　Casting details – including the potential return of Tom Hanks and Tim Allen as Woody and Buzz – have yet to be confirmed.

　　The first Toy Story was released in 1995, with the follow-up hitting screens in 2000.

　　However it was a decade before the third instalment was released – with the characters subsequently starring in a string of short films including the Halloween special Toy Story Of Terror.
