This is scientific American 60 seconds science, I am Graper. got a minute?

what's better than old one and new bottles, for scientists, old one and old bottles preserved one hundred feet down at the bottom of the sea. In 1910 Divers worked in a shipwreck and  discovered 168 bottles of what appears to be one. A quick sweak from one of the long submerged bottles revealed that the liquid was in was actually champagne. The labels were long gone but the brand reveals that the producers to be stored champagne houses including the click upside down. Brandings along with the other items on board  help researchers to determine that the champagne was about 170 years old. Now the scientists have analyzed the contents of the bottles and compare them to modern champagne. They found the 1900 century bubly has lower levels of alcohol. According to historical records, the fermatation happened later in a year and does now so the culture temperature along with to a less efficient alcohol conversion. and the old one has significantly higher sugar content. The research team determined that the extra sweetness likely came to grape added to the champagne before corking. The work is in the journal proceedings of the national academy of sciences. Scientists say the still marine water are excellent environment for wine storage, that is if you don't mind a deep dive before serving.
