Let’s take a look at the satellite image. A weak front moving from southern parts of Western Australia is causing isolated showers and thunderstorms. Meanwhile, a trough is causing patchy rain and a few storms over eastern parts of South Australia, Western Queensland and the central Northern Territory, and a high-pressure ridge is striving showery winds onto the Queensland coast. Looking around the country, for Queensland, showers on the coast becoming heavier in the north. Patchy rain and the odd storm in the far west.
Light showers for the north coast of New South Wales, fine and partly cloudy elsewhere.
A cold morning for Victoria with frost and fog patches. Mostly sunny in the east with light winds. Cloud increasing in the west.
In Tasmania, early frost and fog fully by a fine day apart from a few showers on the southwest coast.
Patchy rain and the odd storm over the northern and central parts of Australia. Mostly dry but cloudy in the southwest.
Showers are forecast for the southwest coast of WA. A possible thunderstorm for the Gold Fields. Mild elsewhere.
And for the Northern Territory, patchy rain and thunderstorms inland with the casual shower on the coast.
Looking ahead to tomorrow’s forecast for the capital cities. A possible shower in Brisbane. Partly cloudy in Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Perth. Hobart will have a shower or two. Adelaide will have a rain and mostly sunny in Darwin. |
