Leading the News. The ABC's managing director Mark Scott has broken his silence on the Q and A controversy, defending the broadcaster as being on Australia's side. The A in ABC is for Australian. This was a very, very grave error of judgement, and the management has to take responsibility for it, and that there should be consequences.
Independent superfunds are facing a major shake-up to their corporate governance under contentious reforms to be announced today. Under the draft legislation, the funds will be required to have an independent chairman. Independent directors will also need to make up at least a third of the boards.
