2. A man, already wanted for murder, is now the key suspect in the shooting death of a Louisiana police officer. A wide manhunt is underway for Grover Cannon, who allegedly shot and killed the officer Wednesday night in Shreveport.

3. A Stradivarius violin stolen 35 years ago from renowned musician Roman Totenberg has been recovered and returned to his family. The late musician’s daughter, Nina, says the FBI recovered the violin in June after a woman had it appraised. The person suspected of the theft died in 2011.
