1994An attacker clubs figure skater Nancy Kerrigan on her right leg,among the men later sentenced to prison, the ex-husband of Kerrigan’s rival Tonya Harding.
And 1993The world loses two artistic greats, Jazz trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie dies at age 75 and ballet dancer Rudolf Nureyev dies at age 54.
