This is AP News Minute. 1. A dismal day on Wall Street as the US stock markets plunge in the early trading hours following a big drop in Chinese stocks on Monday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell more than 1,000 points before rebounding some back. 2. The company behind adultery website Ashley Madison is offering a $500,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the group that hacked its site. Hackers last week released detailed records on millions of people registered with the website which helps facilitate extramarital affairs online. 3. Two Americans hailed as heroes for subduing an attacker on a high-speed train last week arrived at Ramstein Air Base in Germany. First-class Airman Spencer Stone will be receiving from injuries he sustained while taking down the assailant. 4. And distressed parents in Venezuela are facing a diaper shortage as the government grapples with worsening shortage of basic goods. Others lined outside government-run supermarket, hoping to find diapers on the shelves. Officials say the shortage will continue until the government lifts price control. |
