 November 8th, 1923Nazi leader Adolf Hitler makes his first attempt to seize power in Germany. He launches a failed coup in the city of Munich, an event that becomes known as the Beer Hall Putsch. Hitler ultimately achieves his goal when he becomes Germany's dictator in the following decade.

1960,“I don’t believe in big government, but I believe in effective government election.” Democrat John F. Kennedy wins the presidency, beating Republican Richard Nixon in a close finish. The Senator from Massachusetts edges out the incumbent Vice President by fewer than 120-thousand votes. “The election may be a close one, but I think there is a general agreement by all of our citizens, that its supreme national effort will be needed in the years ahead, to move this country safely through the 1960’s.”
1966,Future President Ronald Reagan makes the jump from the silver screen to politics. The then-movie actor is elected California's governor. He wins the White House fourteen years later. 1949, Let's give 'em somethin' to talk aboutHow about love?
Bonnie Raitt, singer and songwriter, is born in Burbank, California. And 1971, she's buying a stair to heaven.
British rock band Led Zeppelin releases the album “Led Zeppelin Four”. Among the tracks, the epic song “Stairway to Heaven”.
