Pope Francis kicked off the final leg of his US tour in Philadelphia Saturday morning. Earlier, Francis celebrated mass at the city's main cathedral. The pope will end the day by taking part in the world meeting of  families.
Croatia's defense miniter called for neighboring nations to cooperate with his government in order to deal with the flow of asylum-seekers entering their countries. The sheer number of people flooding into Croatia is straining the resouces of one of the European Union's poorest nations.
A Saudi-led coaltion performed airstrikes targeting Yemen's Shiite rebels a day after strikes and fighting on the ground killed at least 13 people. The buildings hit included locations belonging to the military police and residences belonging to the former Yemeni president.
Around 100 protests gathered in New York to protest against the visit of the Cambodian prime minister. They were demanding the release of political and environmental activists. The Cambodian leader spoke at the UN Development Summit and will address the UN General Assembly next week.
