散文:Will there really be a "Morning"?(在线收听

Will there really be a "Morning"?

Is there such a thing as "Day"?
Could I see it from the mountains
If I were as tall as they?

Has it feet like Water lilies?
Has it feathers like a Bird?
Is it brought from famous countries
Of which I have never heard?

Oh some Scholar! Oh some Sailor!
Oh some Wise Men from the skies!
Please to tell a little Pilgrim
Where the place called "Morning" lies!

It is intriguing to read this poem as a yearn for the joy of day that will relieve us from the perpetual darkness. To interpret something so magnificent as a morning or a day, would she have to become bigger, or as she puts it, a mountain? With no sensory experience of the day, she is forced to use childish language and concepts, attempting to appreciate something she could never understand. Further on in the poem, she is kindly asking the best knowledgeable scholars, the most daring adventurers and the wisest men to locate morning on one of their carefully constructed maps. We are all pilgrims on a journey to find the true meaning or purpose to our lives.
