Airplane mode (or flight mode) means someone cutsthemselves off from the world by not logging on to socialnetworking sites or checking their cell phones. This usuallyoccurs after a breakup or a rough work week. “飞行模式”指不上社交网站，也不开手机，完全与外界切断联系的状态。这种情况通常在遭遇分手或者经过一周艰苦工作后出现。
This usage is derived from the cell phone setting of the same name which suspends many of thedevice's signal transmitting functions – thereby disabling the device's capacity to place or receivecalls or text messages.
