2014年CRI 四中全会推进司法改革 飞行试验器为嫦娥五号探路(在线收听

This week's closely-watched CPC plenum has come to an end, with the Party's Central Committee pledging new reforms for the country's judicial system.

A communique released following the 4-day session is promising among other things more judicial independence.

Officials caught interfering in court cases are going to face demerits and public shaming if caught trying to manipulate or pressure judges.

The communique also says that to -quote- "realize the rule of law, the country should be ruled in line with the Constitution."

Chinese space authorities have launched an unmanned spacecraft to test technologies to be used in the planned Chang'e-5 lunar probe.

The lunar orbiter was launched earlier this morning from Sichuan.

The mission itself will take about eight days.

The spacecraft is going to make a loop around the moon before returning to Earth.

The idea is to test what it will be like for the Chang'e-5 mission once it starts making its way back to earth after its mission in 2017.

The plan is to land Chang'e-5 on the moon, have it collect samples, and then return to earth.
