Hundreds of thousands of people in Hong Kong have signed on for an Anti-Occupy Central campaign.

The signatories are calling for the restoration of law and order, saying the demonstrations are affecting their daily lives.

So far around 650-thousand people have signed the petition.

Meanwhile, protest leaders have suspended a vote on what their next steps are going to be in their month-long protests.

The protesters had planned a vote on a series of government proposals they rejected earlier in the week.

Exit polling is suggesting Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko's party is poised to eek out a narrow victory in Ukraine's parliamentary election.

However, the Poroshenko bloc is positioned to fall well short of an outright majority.

Polling suggests Poroshenko's party is going to get around 22.2 percent of the vote.

Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk's Popular Front is polling only slightly behind.

Poroshenko Bloc and Popular Front are likely to form a coalition together with other pro-European parties to form the next government.

Preliminary official results are expected later on this Monday.
