人物：钱德勒，莫妮卡

　　事件：莫妮卡和钱德勒这个月的银行账单到了，因为钱德勒现在不赚钱，他们便有点入不敷出。莫妮卡想向父母借钱，但是从小受到的特殊教育告诉钱德勒，借钱是不好的。

　　Monica: What happened to all of our money?

　　莫妮卡：我们的存款去哪儿了？

　　Chandler: Well, I'm not sure exactly what they did, but I'm inclined to blame Enron.

　　钱德勒：我也不知道他们做了些什么，但依我看，该怪安然公司。

　　Monica: I guess with you doing the internship, we're just spending more than we're bringing in.

　　莫妮卡：我觉得因为你现在在实习，所以我们有些入不敷出。

　　Chandler: Yeah, maybe I should quit and get a job that pays.

　　钱德勒：是啊，或许我该辞掉这个工作，再找个有薪水的工作。

　　Monica: Oh... But you're finally doing something that you love! I can't ask you to give that up. Though it'd be nice if the thing that you love was... y'know... finding gold.

　　莫妮卡：哦……但你好不容易做上了你喜欢的工作，我可不能让你放弃。但是如果你喜欢的是……你知道……淘金什么的就更好了。

　　Chandler: You know what? You know what? I think we're making too big a deal out of this. OK? So we pay our bills a little late this month. And maybe next month we cut back on a few things. And maybe we start eating out of Joey's refrigerator for a change. You're a chef, what can you make out of baking soda and beer?

　　钱德勒：你知道吗？你知道吗？我觉得咱们有点小题大做了。无非是这月的账单迟点付。下个月省一省。或者我们改吃乔伊冰箱里的东西。你是个厨师，用苏打粉和啤酒能做出什么来？

　　Monica: Alright, worst case scenario is we borrow some money from my parents.

　　莫妮卡：好吧，最坏的情况就是大不了向我爸妈借些钱。

　　Chandler: No! We're not borrowing money.

　　钱德勒：不！我们不能借钱。

　　Monica: Why not?

　　莫妮卡：为什么？

　　Chandler: Because we don't do that. We are Bings! And if there's one thing my father taught me was... well, to always knock before going into the pool house... But the other thing was never borrow money.

　　钱德勒：因为我们不做这样的事。我们是宾家的人！要说我从我爸那里学到什么的话，那就是……进泳池别墅之前一定要敲门……还有就是永远不向人借钱。

　　Monica: Wow! I had no idea you had this much pride.

　　莫妮卡：哇，我还真不知道你有这么强的自尊心。

　　Chandler: That's right! I do! I'm your man. And I'm gonna get us through this situation even if it means you working twice as hard.

　　钱德勒：没错！我自尊心很强的！我是你老公，我有办法让我们度过难关，即使是需要你加倍努力地工作。
