Animated films are more beautiful, more complicated, and of a higher quality. 动画电影变得更精美、更复杂，而且质量更高。

Nowadays, each little detail is important. 如今，每一项小细节都很重要。

Some of you probably remember the famous headphone mistake that was so commented on the Internet a couple of years ago, and it was finally done right. 你们有些人可能记得有名的耳机错误，那几年前在网络上被疯狂讨论，而这终于被做对了。

But in several countries, some famous scenes from different animated films look quite different from the way they look in other countries. 但在几个国家中，不同动画里的一些知名场景看起来和其它国家满不一样的。

You might not know this, but people working in animated films love their work and their audience 你可能不知道，不过动画工作者热爱他们的工作和观众，

and sometimes change their films to include some important aspects for this or that culture. 而且有时候会修改他们的电影来融入这个或那个文化中的一些重要面向。

So, here are five animated films that look different in other countries. Let's get it on. 那么，这里是五部在其他国家看起来不一样的动画电影。我们开始吧。

Zootopia: Many of you probably saw this film and enjoyed the quality of even the most insignificant details of this zoo world. 《疯狂动物城》：你们很多人或许都看过这部电影，而且很欣赏电影中就连这动物世界里最不起眼的小细节都十分讲究。

So you probably remember the news show scene. 那么你可能记得新闻报导那幕。

Two animals host a news show, and in America, Europe, Russia, and other countries, 两只动物播报新闻，而在美国、欧洲、俄罗斯以及其他国家，

you could see a snow leopard and a moose, but in China, for example, the moose was replaced by a panda, 你会看到一只雪豹和驼鹿，不过象是在中国，驼鹿被换成一只猫熊，

a symbol of China and the favorite animal of many Chinese people. 中国的象征以及许多中国民众喜爱的动物。

In Japan, the film was also changed. 在日本，电影也被作了变动。

Instead of a moose, you could see a tanuki, a small creature similar to a raccoon, which, in Japan, is a symbol of happiness and prosperity. 没有驼鹿，你会看到的是一只狸猫，一种和浣熊相似的小动物，牠在日本是幸福繁荣的象征。

And in Australia and New Zealand, one of the animals was a traditional koala. But why not a kangaroo? 而在澳洲和纽西兰，其中一只动物是传统常见的无尾熊。不过为什么不是袋鼠呢？

Maybe in the world of Zootopia, kangaroos are not very suitable for TV programs. 也许在动物方城市的世界里，袋鼠不太适合上节目吧。

Inside Out: In this awesome film, there's a scene where the main character has to eat broccoli, 《头脑特工队》：在这部出色的电影中，有一幕是主角得吃下花椰菜，

but she refuses point blank to do it, and we probably understand why. 不过她很直接地拒吃，我们大概懂为什么。

Kids do not love to eat healthy food, and broccoli's one of the worst vegetables on the market. 小朋友不爱吃健康食物，而花椰菜是市面上最讨厌的蔬菜之一。

But weirdly enough, there is something wrong with Japanese kids, because they love broccoli. 不过很奇怪，日本的小孩有点毛病，因为他们很爱花椰菜。

That's the reason why the filmmakers change the broccoli for green peppers, 那就是为什么电影制作者将花椰菜改成青椒，

which are generally considered disgusting among Japanese children. 青椒普遍被日本孩童认为恶心难吃。

Understandable, given that it's very important for the kids to bond with the main character of the film. 可以理解，因为让孩子们与片中主角产生连结是非常重要的。

Apart from the broccoli scene, there was another change in the film. 除了花椰菜那幕，片中还有另一个改变。

There is a scene where Riley is watching soccer, the most popular sport in the world, but not in America. 有一幕是莱莉在看足球，全世界最受欢迎的体育活动，但在美国不是。

Wrong, baby...wrong! 错了，宝贝...大错特错!

In the U.S., soccer or football is by far not the most popular sport. It's not Brazil, you know. 在美国，足球显然不是最受欢迎的运动。你知道，这里又不是巴西。

That's the reason why, just like they did with Japan, the filmmakers change the soccer scenes for hockey scenes, 那就是为什么，就像他们对日本做的一样，电影制作者将足球场景换成曲棍球场景，

a more important sport in the States. 那在美国是比较重要的运动。

Toy Story: In the classic animated film Toy Story, 《玩具总动员》：在经典动画片《玩具总动员》中，

Buzz Lightyear gives a speech while standing in front of the stars and stripes flag of the U.S. 巴斯光年站在美国星条旗前演讲。

It was something normal, given that the film was made in America, but in other countries, this would have seemed a little bit weird. 那是件很平常的事，有鉴于电影是在美国制作的，不过换成在别的国家，这就会看起来有点怪。

That's why the filmmakers decided to change the background. 那就是为什么电影制作者决定更换背景。

But instead of drawing flags for each and every country, they put Buzz in front of a globe. 不过他们没有画各个国家的国旗，他们将巴斯摆到地球前。

It was a simple solution to transform a patriotic speech into a universal one. 这是个将一场爱国演讲变成全球都能接受的演讲的简单解决办法。

Monsters University: Probably one of the most difficult moments when adapting animated films to other cultures is changing the phrases that appear on screen. 《怪兽大学》：或许让动画电影配合其它风俗民情最困难的时刻之一，就是更改画面上出现的话。

If we're talking about a signboard, it's not so difficult to change the text, but there are more complicated situations. 如果我们说的是块布告板的话，要修改文字并不会太难，不过有一些更难应付的状况。

For example, in the film Monsters University, one of the characters decorates some cupcakes with the phrase "be my pal," 举例来说，在电影《怪兽大学》中，其中一个角色在一些杯子蛋糕上装饰了「当我朋友」这句话，

but in other languages, you might need a lot of space and letters to write such a phrase. 但在其它语言，你可能会需要很多空间和字来写下这样一句话。

But the filmmakers came up with a brilliant solution. Instead of using the letters, they just put a smiley face, and everyone's happy. 不过电影制作者们想出了一个超聪明的办法。他们没有写字，他们就只是画了个笑脸，这样就皆大欢喜了。

Planes: In this film, the creators went a little bit further, 《飞机总动员》：在这部电影里，创作者们又更上一层楼了些，

and in different countries, changed the look and name of one of the main female characters. 并在不同国家对其中一个女主角的名字和长相作变化。

In the original film shown in the U.S. and Canada, children saw a pink plane named Rochelle. 在美国和加拿大播放的原始版本电影中，小朋友们看到一架名叫 Rochelle 的粉红飞机。

In Russia, this same character is not pink but painted as the Russian flag, and its name is Tatiana. 在俄罗斯，同样这个角色不是粉红色的，而是被彩绘成俄罗斯国旗，而它的名字是 Tatiana。

And they did the same in many countries. In Brazil, the plane's name is Carolina, and she looks quite different. 他们在很多国家都这样做。在巴西，这架飞机的名字是 Carolina，她看起来满不一样的。

And in Germany, the plane became Heidi. 而在德国，这架飞机变成 Heidi。
