More Americans are going on the internet--looking for love.

FOX News Radio’s Dave Anthony reports:

One in ten Americans have gone online to find a date:

(Match.com Ad) “I joined Match because it’s a great opportunity to meet new people.”

That’s a Match.com ad. It’s the most popular site in the 2013 Pew Internet Research which finds 38% of people who are single and looking have tried online dating. 59% of all those surveyed think it’s a good idea — much more acceptance than in a 2005 Pew survey. 29% say they know a couple who met on the web either married or in a long-term relationship now. And one-in-three people use social networking sites to check up on their ex-lovers.
