Several business and investment organizations are working together to push for the early implementation of the world's largest trade deal.

They have launched an initiative after holding a meeting in Qingdao.

Fifteen countries including China are part of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership.

Chen Yaozhong with the Malaysia-China Business Council says RCEP will help s??p??eed up the global economic recovery in the post-pandemic era.

"RCEP will strengthen the synchronization of supply chains among member states and repair supply chains disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. This will boost the confidence of member states in economic growth, enhance the level of cooperation and integration in East Asia, and realize the ultimate goal of 'jointly promoting recovery, sharing opportunities and common development.'"

All members of the RCEP are planning to ratify the agreement before the end of this year and push for it to become effective next year.

RCEP is the world's largest free trade zone. Its 15 member states are home to over 2 billion people, with a combined GDP of 26 trillion U.S. dollars.

The 4th Digital China Summit kicked off yesterday in Fuzhou, Fujian Province, exhibiting breakthroughs and innovations in the sector.

The two-day event has attracted participation from more than 200 companies.

The summit consists of seven sections including a main forum, an exhibition, sub-forums and an innovation contest.

It will focus on the digital transformation of several sectors, including governance, the economy, ecology, IT, urban construction and rural revitalization.

Chinese authorities say the country will kick off a month-long campaign in May as an effort to bolster consumer spending.

The National Consumption Promotion Month will feature a series of activities promoting spending.
