China's holiday travel rush kicks off amid COVID-19 resurgence concerns

 

A forty-day travel rush began on Thursday in China as the Chinese New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, approaches. Trips are expected to drop significantly this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The government is also calling on people to stay put to support the control work as the country has seen sporadic outbreaks of the virus.
