China ready to promote RCEP implementation with Vietnam

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang says the country stands ready to work with Vietnam and other members of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership to ensure the implementation of the trade deal.

Premier Li made the remarks in a phone conversation with Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

He also said China is willing to work with Vietnam and other RCEP members to promote regional economic integration to bring more benefits to people in the region.

The RCEP agreement, the world's largest free trade pact, entered into force on January 1 this year.

China, India hold 14th corps commander-level meeting

China and India have held the 14th round of corps commander-level meetings.

The Chinese National Defense Ministry said the meeting was held on the Chinese side of the Moldo meeting point.

China welcomes global media to cover Winter Olympics

Chinese authorities have said the country welcomes media from all countries to cover the Winter Olympic Games.

Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Wang Wenbin says China will, as always, protect journalists' rights and interests and will facilitate their reporting.

He also says China encourages the journalists to offer constructive suggestions but opposes making up fake news and information under the excuse of freedom of the press to smear China and the Beijing Winter Olympics.

As many as 2,500 reporters and photographers have applied to report the Games.
