1.The White House is expected to roll out limits on what government-assisted financial firms can pay their executives. A senior administration official says top people of those companies will be held to 500, 000 dollars. Congress is weighing similar proposals.

2.Two members of Congress want to know more about the 400-million-dollar stadium naming rights deal between the New York Mets and troubled Citigroup. The 20-year deal was reached in 2006. Since then Citigroup has gotten 45 billion dollars in federal bailout aid and has cut 53,000 jobs.

3.Auto sales continue to plummet, hitting a 27-year low. Chrysler’s domestic sales for January were less than half what they were a year ago. GM sales dropped 49%. Ford was down 40%.

4.National Guard troops continue to knock on every door in parts of storm-ravaged Kentucky, looking for ice storm victims in need of help. More than 200,000 customers are still without power. The storm is blamed for 25 deaths in the Bluegrass State alone.
