1. A Colorado sheriff says he's pursuing criminal charges in the case of a six-year-old boy who hided home as millions thought he was floating over Colorado in the helium balloon. The boy's parents met with investigators Saturday. The sheriff hasn’t said who would be charged or what the charges would be.

2. Pakistan has launched a major offensive against  Al-Qaida and Taliban in south Waziristan. Thirty thousand government troops have been deployed to the border region. And officials say that five soldiers and 11 militants have been killed in the fighting.

3. Hurricane Rick has become extremely dangerous Category five storm of Mexico's Pacific coast. The National Hurricane Center says the storm is packing sustained winds of 160 miles an hour and could threaten the   Barha California Peninsula in several days.

4.Meanwhile the Northeast is getting an early taste of winter weather. Penn-state, the marching bank of play, the snow forces tailgaters to move inside before the new Alliance took on Minnesota
