The World Health Organisation's Regional Director for Africa, Matshidiso Moeti is visiting China, and meeting with Chinese Health Minister Li Bin. CCTV's reporter sat down with Dr. Moeti to discuss new cases of Ebola and Yellow Fever, and how China and WHO can work together to strengthen health systems in Africa.

 

Q1. New Ebola cases have been reported in West Africa, since the outbreak was officially declared over at the end of December last year. What can be done to prevent the recurrence of the disease?

 

Q2. Beijing on Monday confirmed one new case of yellow fever - the patient was infected abroad - making a total of four in the capital. Do we need to worry about an outbreak? What measures can prevent this?

 

Q3. You have met with Chinese Health Minister Li Bin. What was said during the meeting in terms of China and the WHO working together to strengthen health systems in Africa?
