Gourmet¹ chefs hold cook-off in China's Jiangsu Province

　　● Hundreds of Chinese and international chefs have descended² on the small village of Huaxi in East China’s Jiangsu Province

　　Steaks, lobsters⁷, and deserts are soon ready to be judged.

　　Hundreds of Chinese and international chefs have descended on the small

　　find out who can prepare the most tempting and authentic Chinese and

　　international dishes - and exchange ideas on some classic flavors.

　　Chinese chef Chen Ming said, "We’ve had a lot of good suggestions and new ideas. We’ve gained a lot."

　　With all ingredients and materials pre-assigned, each team must create 11 cold and hot dishes, plus pastries⁸, within three and a half hours.

　　For now, the culinary maestros will continue their broiling⁹ and brazing battles.
