Manchester City signs Dzeko from Wolfsburg

    LONDON, Jan. 7 (Xinhua) -- English soccer club Manchester（曼彻斯特） City confirmed on Friday that they have signed striker Edin Dzeko from Wolfsburg for 27 million pounds (42 million U.S. dollars).
    The 24-year-old Bosnian has agreed to a four-and-a-half-year deal and could make his debut¹ on Jan. 15 against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
    "It has been a long time that I have been linked with the club going back to last summer, but Wolfsburg did not want to sell me until now," Dzeko told the club website.
    "There was too much speculation² in the papers, but my head is always clear. It is important that is the case, because if you think too much about what might be, it is a distraction³ and it can affect your game. I was always attracted most to joining City.
