American Airlines plane makes emergency landing in New Mexico

 　　HOUSTON, Jan. 11 (Xinhua) -- An American Airlines plane from Las Vegas, Nevada, and bound for Dallas, a city in the U.S. state of Texas, made an emergency landing Friday in the U.S. state of New Mexico after a problem was found with one of its generators², local media reported.

　　The plane, which was said to be operating its Flight 1868, landed safely at the Albuquerque International Sunport, local media reports quoted American Airlines spokesman Matt Miller³ as saying.

　　Passenger were informed of the problematic generator¹ and the failure of the backup generator. There were 140 passengers on the plane, plus a crew of five. No injuries were reported. No other information was available.

　　The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration was investigating into the mishap⁴, according to FAA spokesman Lynn Lunsford.
