The head of the US Federal Reserve Ben Bernanke says the global economy appears to be on the verge1 of recovery. Mr. Bernanke has told a Fed conference in Wyoming that economic activity is leveling up, and growth will resume soon. Although he is considered it’s likely to be slow at first. He’s also pointed2 the signs of growth in the global market, including France, Germany and Japan, which have unexpectedly pulled out of recession.

James Hardie shareholders3 have voted to relocate the company’s headquarters from the Netherlands to Ireland. At an extraordinary general meeting in Amsterdam, 99% of shareholders voted in favor of the plan. The building materials company says a move to Ireland will protect its US tax benefits, but this best of campaigners say they concerned it could affect compensation pay.
