After a month negotiations¹, the grocery sector² could be set close to finalizing³ a voluntary code of conduct for supermarkets and suppliers. The Australian Food and Grocery Council meet again, met again, sorry,  with Woolworth this week. The code will aim to improve the relationship between supermarkets and suppliers. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission is investigating allegations that the major supermarkets had used bullying⁴ tactics with suppliers.

Japan’s monetary⁶ easing and expectations that it will help promote inflation have helped drive the value of the yen down.
