A coalition of sexual abuse survivor⁴ groups says it's "un-Australian" that former Governor General Peter Hollingworth receives ongoing⁵ taxpayer⁶ funding. As a former Governor General, Dr Hollingworth receives a yearly pension of more than 350-thousand dollars as well as office and travel expenses. Dr Hollingworth became Governor General in 2001 but resigned two years later after an inquiry⁷ found he allowed a paedophile priest to continue working until retirement⁸.
