Work is underway to right the upturned passenger ship that capsized on the Yangtze River early this week.

The move comes as searchers have failed to find any more survivors² from the more than 400 people still missing.

The rescue headquarters says righting the ship would help find the missing "in the shortest possible time".

So far 82 bodies have been recovered. Only 14 people have survived.

President Xi Jinping has presided over a top-level meeting on how to handle the aftermath of the tragedy, demanding a serious investigation³ into the cause of the shipwreck⁴.
