China and Russia have pledged to deepen their cooperation over security issues.

中俄双方同意就战略安全问题深化合作。

The pledge was made following the eighth strategic security consultation¹ between the two countries in Beijing.

中俄第八次战略安全磋商在北京举行，会议上双方就战略安全问题达成一致。

The two sides have also said they will support each other's efforts to pursue development in accordance with respective domestic situations and to properly handle domestic affairs.

中俄双方一致认为，要相互坚定支持对方走符合本国国情的发展道路，坚定支持对方把自己的事办好。

New stats show more than 160-thosuand people have been punished in China for disciplinary violations² this past year.

据最新统计数字显示，去年中国有16万余人因违纪受处分。

Official figures released today show disciplinary inspection³ organs launched investigations⁴ into more than 150-thousand cases based on tip-offs from the public.

今天公布的官方数字表明，纪律检查部门共受理了15万余起公众举报案件。

It was also revealed that some high profile cases including that of former Chongqing Party chief Bo Xilai and former Railways Minister Liu Zhijun have been handed over to the judicial⁵ authorities.
