2019年CRI 澳门新行政长官承诺坚持"一国两制"

The GDP per Capita in Macao averaged from around 15,000 U.S. dollars in 1999 and 83,000 dollars last year.

Ho Iat Seng said Macao's development is inseparable from mainland's support.

"Macao is now a tourism center, a China-Portugal trade platform and a cultural exchange base for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Macao is a rather small place but enjoys great tourism development. Last year, about 38.5 million people visited Macao. All these are attributed to the support from the central government and compatriots from the Chinese mainland."

Ho said Macao has over 400 years of exchange between Chinese and western cultures. Macao will pursue a development featuring diversity.

As for young people in Macao, Ho said they should know more about the mainland.

"If young people want to do business, they should come to the Chinese mainland as the largest market is there. It's also good to regard it as a learning process. Young people should know more about their country and its market."

Ho said people in Macao have a strong sense of patriotism¹ and harmony.

"Before Macao returning to the motherland, it had suffered from social instability caused by economic downturn for some time. People who had suffered from hardship know that the social harmony of today was hard-earned and social order must be kept."

He says the "One Country, Two Systems" principle should continue to be fully² implemented³.

"We should first have a good understanding of the concept of 'One Country'. When we talk about 'One Country, Two Systems,' we cannot only focus on the 'Two Systems' and ignore the fact that 'One Country' is the precondition. You should know where your rights come from. The power comes from the constitution."

This year marks the 20th anniversary of Macao's return to the motherland.

澳门人均国内生产总值从1999年的1.5万美元左右增长到去年的8.3万美元。

澳门特别行政区行政长官贺一诚表示，澳门的发展离不开内地的支持。

“澳门是国家给了我们一个旅游中心平台，又给了我们中葡贸易的平台，现在又给我们一个大湾区文化交流基地。澳门是很小的地方，但是旅游发展得很好，去年我们达到了3850万人次。这是中央政府对我们的大力支持，是内地同胞对我们很好的支持。”

贺一诚说，澳门有超过400年的中西文化交流历史。澳门将追求多元化的发展。

谈到澳门的年轻人，贺一诚说，他们应该更多地了解内地。

“年轻人如果发展业务，应该到内地去，因为最大的市场在内地。如果作为一个学习过程也是应该的，不能不了解内地、不了解国家的市场。”

Ho说，澳门人民有强烈的爱国主义情绪和和谐感。

“在回归之前，我们有一段时间因为经济不景气，引起社会很多动荡，大家都受过苦，知道今天的和谐来之不易。我们都保护好我们澳门不能乱，大家都有这个共识。”

他表示，“一国两制”原则应继续得到充分落实。

“‘一国两制’，那我们一定要先奠定好一国的概念，不能不讲一国，只讲两制。一国是前提，因为你知道你的权利从哪里来？权力是从宪法里面授权给你的。”

今年是澳门回归祖国20周年。
