 　　Do you know about Chinese software engineers?

　　你了解中国的软件工程师吗？

　　To compare with American engineers, what advantages and disadvantages do they have?

　　相对于美国的工程师，你认为他们有什么优势和弱点？

　　Obviously¹, they are better at understanding the arrangement of polysyllabic word，while American engineers know little about it.

　　个非常明显的长处是中国的工程师可以更好地理解多音节词的排列，而这是我们美国的研发者非常陌生的东西。

　　But commonly, I found that researchers from different countries have many things in common instead of differences.

　　但是通常来说，我发现不同国家的研发者的相同之处要多于差异。

　　Different people in different countries are doing the similar thing, this is interesting.

　　不同的人们在不同的国家做着差不多相同的事情是一件非常有趣的事。

　　They are different in terms of the economic aspect, but they have similar feelings and interests, more than you can imagine.

　　在经济上他们是有所不同的，但是在感情和兴趣的重叠程度，比你想象的要大得多。

　　In what way could Chinese and American engineers communicate with each other better?

　　中美工程师间如何更好的交流沟通？

　　Actually, this is a language problem. But in the open source² program, we have C language.

　　事实上，这是语言问题，但在开源项目中，我们有C语言。

　　But of course, there still some kind of barrier³ of language, especially when the issue⁴ could not be explained clear by technology language.

　　但当然确实有一定的语言障碍，尤其是当某个想法无法通过技术语言来表达的时候。

　　I have no idea about how long it will take us to conquer⁵ this problem.

　　我不清楚我们还需要多长时间来克服这个问题。

　　I would like to advice the American to learn some Chinese, but this is a little bit difficult to realize.

　　我很乐意建议美国的工程师都学一些中文，但这不是很现实的事情。

　　Anyway, English is the standard technology language. So, to communicate better, Chinese engineers need to learn and practice English.

　　无论如何，英语是标准的互联网技术语言，因此，要想更好的进行交流，中国的工程师需要更好的学习和使用英文。

　　I am not an American, and English is not my mother tongue, so I understand the difficulty⁶ to work not with the mother tongue.

　　我不是美国人，母语也不是英文，所以我很理解不使用母语工作的痛苦

　　However, we have to face the reality.

　　但是我们必须面对这样的现实。

　　How do you think the technology will affect internet start-ups?

　　你认为技术对互联网新兴公司有哪些作用？

　　I don’t think that the technology will always be the most important, actually, making the right decision at the right time is more important.

　　我不认为技术总是非常重要的，事实上，在正确的时候对市场做出正确的判断和决定更重要。

　　I have seen many companies that focus⁷ too much on the most advanced technology, but they failed at last.

　　我见过很多的公司，他们太过于追求最先进的技术，但最后还是失败了。
