A person's actions¹ speak the truth².

 

行为见人心。

 

You're going³ to come across⁴ people in your life⁵ who will say all the right words at all the right times; but in the end, it's always their actions you should judge⁶ them by.

 

So pay⁷ attention⁸ to what people do. Their actions will tell you everything you need to know.

 

1 actions   

n.action；行动( action的名词复数 )；作用；动作；积极的活动

参考例句：

• His actions were motivated by greed. 他的作为是贪婪之心所驱使的。
• There is no rational explanation for his actions. 对他的所作所为无法作出合理的解释。

2 truth   

n.真理；真相，事实，实际情况

参考例句：

• We must find out the truth of the matter.我们必须弄清楚事情的真相。
• You may trust me that I'm speaking the truth.你可以相信我在说实话。

3 going   

n.去，离去，地面(或道路)的状况，工作情况；(复数形式）goings: 行为；adj.进行中的，流行的，现存的

• We're going to listen to a report this afternoon. 今天下午我们要去听报告。
• He hates leaving the office and going on holiday.他不愿离开办公室去度假。

4 across   

adv.横过，使...被理解(或接受)；prep.穿过，横过

参考例句：

• He walked across the road carefully.他小心地过马路。
• You can go across the bridge.你可以越过这座桥。

5 life   

n.生活；生命

参考例句：

• The doctor came in time to save his life.医生及时来抢救他的生命。
• At last he knew the meaning of life.终于，他知道了生命的意义。

6 judge   

n.裁判员；法官，审判官；推事；vt.判断，判决，裁定，审理，鉴定；vi.下判断，作评价

参考例句：

• He is a fair judge.他是一位公正的审判员。
• Teachers always judge their students on the final examination.老师常根据期末考试来评价他们的学生。

7 pay   

v.付钱；n.付钱；薪金

参考例句：

• How much did you pay?你付了多少钱？
• His pay is below the average.他的工资低于一般水平。

8 attention   

n.注意，注意力，关心，关注

参考例句：

• I hope you will give attention to this problem.希望你对此给予关注。
• Pay attention to your spelling.请注意拼写。
