In human relationships distance is notmeasured in miles, but in affection¹. Two people can be right next to each other, yet miles apart. So don't ignore someone you care about, because lack of concern hurts more than angry words. Stay in touch with those who matter toyou. Not because it's convenient², but because they're worth the extra effort.

 

在人际关系中，距离不是由英里来衡量的，而是由感情来决定。即使相隔几里，两个人的心也有可能是贴一起的。所以不要忽视了你在乎的人，因为关怀的缺失会比气愤时说的话更伤人。和对你重要的人保持联系。不是因为这是举手之劳，而是因为他们值得这额外的付出。

 

When was the last time you told your family and close personal friends that you loved them? Just spending a littletime with someone shows that you care, shows that they are important enoughthat you've chosen—out of all the things to do on your busy schedule—to findthe time for them. Talk to them. Listen to them. Understand them.
