 A history-making moment in the NBA. Jason Collins broke three big barriers last night when he suited up for the Brooklyn Nets against the Lakers, becoming the first openly gay player in any of the four major pro¹ leagues. ABC's John has the story.

The 35-year-old sender hitting the floor Sunday night as the first openly gay player in any of the nation's four major professional sports leagues, signing a 10-day contract with the Brooklyn Nets just hours before the game.

It was his first match-up since publically coming out in April at the time he spoke² with George about his ground-breaking announcement.

Sam now meeting with the team that could draft him, telling reporters over the weekend that he focused on winning, regardless of his teammates or critics might say.
