 "I'm looking forward to having that ritual¹," a ritual, "ritual," is something that you do on a regular schedule   “我期待能有这样的惯例，”惯例（ritual）是指你定期做某事

or at a regular time every day or maybe every week or every month, and you do the exact same things in the exact same order. 或是每天、每周或每月定时做某事，你按照相同的顺序做相同的事情。

We also use that word, ritual, when we are talking about some religious² ceremonies. Some religious events  在谈到一些宗教仪式的时候，我们也会使用“ritual”这个词。一些宗教活动

have certain rules — certain order — a certain order that they follow, and that is a ritual. 有特定的规定——特定的规矩——他们需要遵从的特定规矩，这就是仪式。

"I go into the bathroom and I turn on the tap." “我走进卫生间，打开水龙头。”

The tap, "tap," is the same as the faucet³. “Tap”就是“水龙头”的意思。

Well, you turn on the tap so the water comes out, "I wash my face, and I dry it with my towel." 嗯，你打开水龙头，让水流出来，“我用水洗脸，然后用毛巾擦干。”

I dry my face — I make it dry using a towel, "towel," which is a cloth that you use to dry yourself or to clean yourself. 我擦干脸——用毛巾（towel）擦干，毛巾是你用来擦干或清洁自己的一块布。

I floss my teeth and I brush them. 我先用牙线剔牙然后刷牙。

"I have to admit that by this time, I'm beat." “我必须承认到了这时，我和我妻子都疲惫不堪了。”

1 ritual
