Although too late to save the calf¹,

a few months later, the rains did finally return.

When we returned, it was amazing.

It was lush and green again.

And the elephants in the rains, they all tend to come together,

so it was like all these groups which had been dispersed²,

I think what's lovely to see in that situation is that
