Susan: So, Renee, we hear that you're married to Doug Perry?

Gaby: The baseball player?

Lynette: No surprise there. In our sorority, Renee was voted most likely to marry well.

Renee: And Lynette was voted most likely to succeed. So, Bree, I hear you're an amazing cook.

Lynette: Hang on a second. what was that?

Renee: What?

Lynette: That... "aw."

Renee: Oh, nothing. I just didn't wanna... make you feel bad.

Lynette: About what?

Renee: Well, it-- it's just that, uh, I think our college friends would be surprised to see how you ended up.

Gaby: Oh, I thought they were still playing.

Lynette: You know, Renee, I have had a career and raised a family.

Renee: And that's great. It's just that we had such high hopes for you.

Lynette: Not like you, spending the last 15 years sponging¹ off a rich guy.

Susan: Hey, let's stop before somebody gets hurt.

Lynette: Whatever I got, I got on my own.

Renee: And what have you got? A blouse from the "I've stopped trying" collection, and a pair of earrings² your kid made at camp?

Susan: And... somebody got hurt.

Lynette: That's great. Easy shots. You got more money than me.

Renee: Oh, it's not about the money. The Lynette I knew never would have settled for this. You were adventurous³. You backpacked through Croatia. You jumped onstage at a Springsteen concert. It's just hard for me to reconcile⁴ this suburban⁵ housewife with the girl...who had a threesome with two of the guys from the rugby team.

雷尼：这很了不起，只是我们曾经都对你抱有很高的期望。

苏珊：喂，都别说了，话越说越伤人了。

丽奈特：我自己动手丰衣足食。

雷尼：看看你自己动手得到了什么？一件"心灰意冷"系列的衬衣，和一对孩子在营队手工劳动中做的耳环？

苏珊：这话真伤到人了。

丽奈特：是呀，一言以蔽之，你比我有钱。

雷尼：这不关钱的事。我所认识的勒奈特绝不会满足于现状，你以前一向敢作敢为，你曾经只身前往克罗地亚远足，你曾经跳上史普林斯汀音乐会的舞台。我实在很难把现在这个住在郊外的女孩，与那个曾经跟橄榄球队的2名球员玩3P的女孩联系在一起。
