Crews are drilling holes hoping to ventilate toxic¹ gas from a West Virginia mine where 25 miners were killed. Four miners are being missing. Once the mine is ventilated, officials say teams will need four to five hours to reach the area where rescue workers believe the miners may be.

President Barack Obama heads to Prague today to sign a landmark² nuclear treaty with Russia. The treaty, if ratified³, will slash⁴ arsenals⁵ by nearly a third. The trip comes a day after Obama announced a new post-Cold War strategy, sharply limiting America's nuclear weapons.

The rain continues to fall in Rio de Janeiro where fears of more mudslides continues to grow. So far, 95 people have died because of floods and mudslides. Eleven inches of rain fell yesterday in Rio. More rain is expected through the weekend.
