1. Donald Trump¹ shook up his transition team on Friday, elevating vice² president-elect Mike Pence to head the operations. The shift amounted to demotion for New Jersey³ governor Chris Christie who has been running Trump's transition planning for several months.

2. President Obama marked his final veteran's day at office by laying a wreath to tomb of unknown at Arlington national cemetery⁴. He used his speech to urge Americans to forge unity⁵ after the bitter 2016 campaign.

3. Delegates of the ongoing⁶ United Nations Climate talks in Marrakech say the selection of Donald Trump could jeopardize⁷ a $100 billion plan launched 7 years ago to help poor countries cope with climate change. Only $500 million has been disbursed⁸ so far.

4. A 6-year old 1000 pound polar bear named Siku has found a new home at the Lincoln Park zoo in Chicago. The bear recently arrived from Louisville, Kentucky as a part of the Arctic Tundra⁹ exhibit which will teach visitors about climate changes having on polar bears.
