President Trump¹ is rejecting calls from both parties to punish Saudi Arabia for the murder of Jamal Khashoggi. US intelligence agencies concluded the country's crown prince must have at least known about the plot to kill the journalist.

President Trump turned over written answers to Special Counsel Robert Muller's Russia investigation². This is the first time the Presidetn has directly cooperated with the investigation into election interference.

Republican Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith and Democrat³ Mike Esby debated one week ahead of Mississipi's Senate runoff. Hyde-Smith apologized to people who were offended when she recently said she would attend a public hanging, if a aupporter invited her.

Democrat Ben McAdams won a very narrow race for a US House seat from heavily republican Utah. He defeated Representative Mia Love, the first and only black female Republican in Congress.
