The stories you are now going to read have been enjoyed by boys and girls ever since they were first written. 你即将要阅读的是一些自问世以来就广受男孩和女孩喜爱的故事。

Very surprising things happen in these stories. 这些故事中都出现了令人十分惊奇的事情。

But that is not strange, for they are stories from the land of make-believe, and in this land almost anything can happen. 这并不奇怪，因为它们是来自梦幻大陆的故事，在那片大陆几乎任何事情都可能发生。

In the days when the story-tellers went from town to town, 在说书人穿梭于城镇之间的年代里，
