Hans Goes Out Into The World 汉斯出门闯世界

Once upon a time there lived a little boy whose name was Hans. 很久以前有个小男孩，他的名字叫汉斯。

His home was in a town where the trees shaded the green grass that grew around the houses. 他家住在一个小镇上，那里的房屋周围绿草和树荫相映成趣。

Hans loved his home very much. 汉斯非常喜欢自己的家，

He liked to hear the birds sing, and he often threw crumbs¹ upon the ground for them to eat. 他喜欢听到鸟的叫声，而且经常在地上撒些面包屑给鸟儿吃。

Hans was a happy little fellow, who was always busy doing something for someone. 汉斯是个快乐的小家伙，他总忙着为别人做这做那。

When he became a tall, strong lad, he often went with his father into the forest to cut wood. 当他成为一个又高又壮的小伙子时，他经常和他的父亲一起到森林里面砍树。

One day, when Hans had grown to be a young man, his father said to him, "My boy, it is time for you to leave home and find work somewhere. 汉斯长大成人后，一天他的父亲对他说，我的孩子，是时候让你离开家去其他地方找工作了。

You must go out into the world and learn how to take care of yourself. 你必须出门闯闯，学会如何照顾自己。

Then the young man started on his journey. 于是这个年轻人便开始了自己的旅途。

He walked a long way, until he came to a great city. 他走了很长一段路才来到一座大城市里.
