Suppose your father or your mother or your big brother or sister said to you, 假设你的爸爸或妈妈或哥哥或姐姐对你说，

“I see you have been reading some stories about animals and birds. “我知道你一直在读一些关于动物和鸟类的故事。

Did you like them?” What would you say? 你喜欢这些故事吗？”你会怎么回答？

If they asked which story you liked best, what would you tell them? 如果他们问你最喜欢哪个故事，你会怎么回答?

Could you tell why you liked it best? 你能告诉我为什么你最喜欢它吗?

If someone asked you what interesting facts you learned² from these stories, what four or five things would you tell? 如果有人问你从这些故事中学到了什么有趣的事实，你会说四五件事？

Do you know enough about the birds and animals and flowers of your neighborhood so that you could give a talk on “The Wild Life Near Us”? 你对你周围的鸟、动物和花了解的够多吗？这样你就可以做一个关于“我们附近的野生动物”的演讲了。

You might try now to make a list of animals, a list of birds, and a list of flowers that are found near your home or city. 你现在可以试着列一张动物、鸟类和鲜花的清单，这些都是在你的家或城市附近发现的。

Then your class can get together and put all the different kinds into a big class list of birds, another of animals, and another of flowers. 然后你的班级可以聚在一起，把所有不同种类的鸟，另一种动物，和另一种花放在一个大的班级列表中。

You may be surprised at what some of your classmates have seen in the out-of-doors, and they may be surprised at what you have seen. 你可能会对你的一些同学在户外看到的感到惊讶，他们也可能会对你所看到的感到惊讶。

Have you ever done anything to help the birds and animals, 你曾经做过什么来帮助鸟类和动物吗？
