此语的意思是“做事直接，毫无顾忌”“对（做某事）不犹豫”。其英文解释为：to make no mistake (about it); no need to doubt it。如果你有狂热的想法，做出后会有不好的结果，但是你还是要试一试，就可以这样说：I will make no bones about it. 也就是中文中“某人豁出去了。”的意思的表达。
