I have a wonderful friend who has become acomplete cell phone addict1. Last week I gave her aride to the airport, which I was absolutely happy todo, but it was clearly a favor. All the way there, sheignored me and yakked2 on her cell phone to hergrown children.
I was insulted, but figured if I complained, I would appear jealous of her relationship with herkids, of which she is quite proud. Did I make the right choice? Don't cell phone addicts3 realizethey make the people they are with feel like a dime4 waiting on a dollar? What can I do? - CellFree

People who are overly attached to their phones do not realize how rude they are, and in thisinstance, your friend may have been showing off a bit. Or, you can simply stop whatever you aredoing and pointedly5 but politely wait for her to finish her conversation. If that means parkingthe car, do it.
