Maybe he did kick me, and I didn't observe it, I was so taken all aback with his brow, somehow. It flashed like a bleached¹ bone. What the devil's the matter with me?  也许他已经踢过了我,我却没有感觉到,不知怎的,我可真给他那副杀相吓昏了。好象是白骨似的一阵闪光。我究竟怎么啦?

I don't stand right on my legs. Coming afoul of that old man has a sort of turned me wrong side out.  我竟双脚都立不稳。给那老头儿一碰撞,就好象把我弄得神魂颠倒了。

By the Lord, I must have been dreaming, though-How? how? how? 千真万确,我一定是在做梦,然而...怎么啦?

But the only way's to stash² it; so here goes to hammock again; and in the morning, I'll see how this plaguey juggling³ thinks over by daylight. 怎么啦?怎么啦?不过,最好还是去躲起来;那么就再回吊铺去吧;到明儿,让我再看看,我白天对这鬼魔术又是怎么个想法。"

1 bleached
